XI Slovakia International Youth Music Festival

It is our pleasure to extend this invitation to the International Music Festival II., July 26 - 29 2021 in the city of Bratislava, capital of the Slovak Republic. We invite musically inclined people from around the world to contribute their talents in the following categories: children, youth and adult orchestras, vocal ensembles, traditional music, folk music, brass and string orchestras, or a combination of both vocal and instrumental choirs. The groups may participate in a competitive or non-competitive setting. During the duration of the festival, students will at once benefit from, and at the same time contribute to the rich cultural atmosphere of the city. Bratislava is widely recognized as a city of music, in addition to its fame as a city of rich cultural and artistic heritage. Each choir will have ample opportunities to perform in concert halls, beautifully ornate churches, and outdoor settings in the historical center of the city, all boasting exceptional acoustics.
Arrival of the participants
Individual workshops for ensembles (upon request)
7 pm – Opening concert - St. Martin's Cathedral
9 pm - 14 pm - Competition of choirs - Mirror Hall of the Primate's Palace
4-9 pm – Orchestral concert - Main Square
2 pm - festival concert - Klarisky Music Hall
4 pm - festival concert - Klarisky Music Hall
5 pm - festival concert on the Hviezdoslav Square
7:30 pm - Competition results announcement - Hviezdoslav Square

The application must be filled in electronically.
After receiving the application form, each accepted participating group will be contacted by email and receive an official confirmation of participation.
The application shall be enclosed with:
Completed electronic application form
Competition programme (name of the composition, composer's full name, length of the compositions)
Sound recording of the choir / orchestra not older than 3 years (mp3, link)
Choir's / orchestra´s and conductor's brief curricula (ca 10 lines)
A photo of the choir / orchestra and the conductor (print quality)
A copy of the scores of the competition pieces (PDF)
A copy of money order or bank transfer confirming payment for the festival fee
